2) the second one is called 'Young Cenote' and it's the stage when the ceiling of the cavern falls , leaving the Cenote in contact with the atmosphere. 3) third is a stage called 'Mature Cenote' , when the bottom of the Cenote starts to fill with debris and organic materials. 4) fourth is the stage called 'Dry Cenote' when the Cenote fills completely leaving place to plants and trees. The Sacrificial Cenote in Chitchèn Itzà is in its 'Mature Cenote' stage.
