Some Cenotes look more like swimming pools than wells.
It's the case of Cenote Azul , placed midway on the road between Akumal beach and Playa del Carmen in the Tulum surroundings.

The bottom of the Cenote is sometimes covered with green algaes that contribute to give to this waters an emerald color.

Cenote Azul is managed by local farmers more as an amusement park than a nautral resource.
Turism is quikly changing the aspect and nature of these places.
